Cooper’s Hawk Lesson: Keep Focus

Last week Cooper Hawk decided to teach me a lesson in co-creating:  maintain focus and do not worry about looking like a fool!

I came out of my house and was headed toward my car.  My hands full of all sorts of stuff as I was on my way to Starbucks to write blogs and work.

Cooper Hawk’s lesson

As I arrived at my car, something in my peripheral vision dropped out of a tree.  I looked up and there on the ground was a fluff of feathers.  It looked like a pile of feathers with no form.  I put everything into my car and headed toward the pile to see what was up.

As I got closer, Cooper Hawk looked at me and took off.  In her claw was a mouse.  I called out to her, “Way to go Cooper Hawk.  Nice job.”  Off she flew to have her lunch.

I sat with what I saw that day, pondering it, wondering what that was all about.  As I was meditating on it hours later, I heard, “Keep your eye on the ball.  Stay focused.”

Ok.  Stay focused on our co-creation.

Then more came, “Stay focused so you can pounce, leap at the appropriate time.”

Right, there will be a time when the launch, the manifestation is NOW.  We need to be vigilant and ready when that moment presents itself.

One more thing arrived, “Don’t worry about how your pounce looks to others.  It will bring what you are looking for.”

Right.  Because as Cooper Hawk flew away I was also like wow that was a unique hunting technique.  Drop like a fool.  It looked really rough. She looked worse for wear.  But she did succeed.  Lunch was hers.

Stay Focused

Cooper Hawk is constantly reminding me to stay focused on what I want my co-creations to offer to the world, not on what my own fears and needs (such as financial).  Stay focused on the goal, the medicine, the gift of the co-creation.  This is where the meat is.  This is where joy is.

Release your inhibitions

Don’t give in to your fears, shifting your focus to try to solve, make your fears feel better.  Don’t give in to that fear of looking like a fool when you leap; of failing as you pounce.  So what.  I am sure that Cooper Hawk missed a few times when she hunted.  However she looked well fed.  Her technique looked rough, but she succeeded!

Cooper Hawk’s invitation is one that invites us to keep focused and trust in our skills.  Spirit has instilled within us the innate abilities we need to manifest our co-creations.   If we trust in those, act when the moment is right, then success is ours!

Remember that fear inhibits our ability to keep focus and know when the time is right.  We must release our fears so that we can pounce when it is time.  We must release our inhibitions so we can do what it takes to pounce successfully.

If you keep focus, stay vigilant, pounce at the appropriate time, you will come up with the mouse for lunch!

Trust in your abilities.

Flow with Spirit’s co-creative guidance.

When the time is right, plant the seeds.

Trust in the organic nature of spiritual grow and awakening.

How will you embody Trust this week?

How are you keeping focused on your co-creations?
