Because I am in transition, I no longer have my loom to weave on.  Weaving is an important healing and spiritual art for me and I do not want to give it up as I travel.  So, I found a tiny hand held loom to hand weave with and began to play with this new art form.  I am having a blast!

As I began weaving, I noticed that my heart yearns to weave a piece a day, to catalogue my journey to New Mexico through weaving.  I saw a finished wall hanging as I strung the hand held loom for the first time.  I set my Intention to allow myself the room to create at my pace.  If I create one piece a day, fine.  If one piece takes a week, fine.  This is a journey deep into my innermost self and I know this weaving will take me there.  Some will come quickly.  Some will take their time showing up.

This first one came quickly!  I began weaving my favorite yarns together when I had this overwhelming need to change yarns.  As I began to attempt to add form to this weaving (having never done that before) I let go of my Inner Critic’s need to create a perfect Sun.  What came instead was my True Self bursting forth, shining brightly, wild and crazy.  I could feel this deep connection, this inner merging, this cracking open, this becoming my prayer.

As the New Year begins, I am embodying fully my True Self, the Divine that is me.

I invite you on this new beginning, the first day of a new year, to take a moment and connect to your True Self, to the Divine that is within you.  Feel the brightness and wholeness that is You!  Become One with the Truest Part of yourself allowing this experience to seep deep into your bones.  Set your Intention to live from this place of wholeness, of beauty, of Compassion, of Love for the coming year.

For me, this shift is powerful.  The world is brighter.  I am noticing greater beauty around me.  My heart is fuller, more open.
